Quality comes into it too of course, but having said that it is perfectly possible to get good quality TFT screens of all sizes. Bigger is not necessarily better. So you need to watch out for buying larger if you are assuming that it is going to get you a better screen. It may not be true.
Another good reason for buying a larger TFT monitor is if you tend to play a lot of games on your computer. The wider screen can be essential if you do this, because you will get a much better picture overall. It can make all the difference between a game being reasonable and very enjoyable.

The more you know and the more research you do, the more likely it is that you will get the exact monitor you are after. And that means you will enjoy using it much more than you would have done if you had rushed into it.
